What is the difference between overnight margin and intraday margin?
| Overnight margin is the amount of money required, by the exchange, to be in your account for each contact held overnight. Intraday margins, also called day trading margins are required on positions entered and exited during the same trading session and are less than overnight margins. Intraday margins are determined by us and vary depending on trading styles and account size. Typically intraday margins allow for 5 times the buying power of overnight margins.
